Sun Zhiqiang believes that in recent years, China's robot industry has made great progress with policy support, but there are still imbalances in industrial development, especially in high-end applications such as automobiles, new energy, 3C semiconductors, rail transit, aerospace, and other fields. In Sun Zhiqiang's view, on the one hand, it is due to the late start of domestic robots, and on the other hand, it is due to the lack of demonstration applications of domestic robots in mid to high-end key areas. In response, Sun Zhiqiang suggested that we give full play to our country's institutional and market advantages, work simultaneously on both the demand side and the supply side, and mobilize efforts to promote the application of domestic robots in terms of funds, resources, and talent, so as to promote the continuous improvement of performance of domestic industrial robots.
 
On the demand side, Sun Zhiqiang believes that it is possible to organize the implementation of domestic robot application verification projects, select key enterprises or projects in key industries, establish alternative application demonstration lines for robot localization, effectively fill the application gap, and boost the application confidence of domestic robots in mid to high-end fields. "Promote a group of domestic robots to take the lead in the mid and high-end fields, so that they can obtain more technical information feedback, thereby promoting the faster development of mid and high-end technologies."
 
On the supply side, Sun Zhiqiang proposes to integrate the advantageous resources of the domestic robot industry chain, select and establish a number of joint research teams involving domestic robot system solution providers, ontology manufacturers, core component suppliers, scientific research institutions, and other parties, strengthen collaborative supply capabilities, specifically address the difficulties and pain points in the demand side of key areas, and form solutions for domestic robots in key areas and promote their application.
 
Sun Zhiqiang also proposed to establish the "China Robotics Association" as soon as possible, organize the creation of a collaborative innovation mechanism of "industry, university, research, and financial policy", and organize and promote the implementation of major research topics and key projects in the robot industry.
