The system is developed based on vision detection technology and laser measurement technology. It works by the principle of triangulation and makes use of robot's advantage in flexible positioning to acquire the 3D spatial coordinates of the features under measurement, thus realizing online accurate dimensional measurement without contact. The system supports measuring of key dimensions that affect the accuracy of the vehicle body frame, such as the size of the front windshield, the position of edge for door installation, the position of the positioning hole, and the position of each subassembly. It may also be used in other specific non-contact scenarios with requirement for accuracy.
The measurement system will display the measurement results in real time and give an alarm in time in case of out-of-tolerance. It will also show the trend chart of measuring points, deviation distribution, CP, CPK, 6Sigma, maximum value, minimum value, average value, standard deviation, and other statistical values.
